Snicker Bites
Real Food Snickers Bites💝💝💝
A Sweet Valentine’s Treat Made With Simple, Nourishing Ingredients
Valentine’s Day doesn’t need neon wrappers, artificial flavors, or a sugar crash to be sweet.
These Real Food Snickers Bites are my favorite kind of treat—simple, nostalgic, chocolatey, and made with ingredients that actually nourish your body. They’re naturally sweetened, full of healthy fats, and taste like a classic candy bar… without the junk.
Perfect for gifting, sharing, or keeping in the fridge for a little after-dinner sweetness 💘
Why I Love These for Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is about love—and that includes how we care for our bodies.
These bites are:
Made with whole, recognizable ingredients
Naturally sweetened from dates
Free from seed oils, artificial dyes, and fillers
Easy to prep ahead
Beautiful enough to gift 💝
They feel indulgent, but they’re grounded in real food.
Ingredients
For the filling:
Medjool dates (pitted)
Walnuts
Almond butter
For the coating:
Clean chocolate (I used Nebula allulose-sweetened chocolate code LEXINOELV)
That’s it. No syrups, no refined sugar, no stabilizers.
How to Make Snickers Bites
1. Make the filling
Add dates, walnuts, and almond butter to a food processor (or chop by hand) Pulse until a thick, sticky dough forms. You want it to hold together when pressed.
If it feels too dry, add:
A tiny splash of warm water or
A little more almond butter
2. Shape
Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined plate or tray.
Pop them into the fridge or freezer for about 10–15 minutes to firm up before dipping.
3. Melt the chocolate
Gently melt your clean chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring often.
4. Dip
Using a fork or spoon, dip each bite into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Let excess drip off, then place back onto parchment.
5. Set
Return the bites to the fridge until the chocolate is firm.
Optional Valentine’s Touches 💌
Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before the chocolate sets
Drizzle with extra chocolate for a bakery-style look
Place each bite in a mini cupcake liner
Package in a small box with a handwritten note
Simple. Thoughtful. So good.
What Makes These “Real Food”
Unlike traditional candy bars, these bites are:
Sweetened naturally with dates
Packed with healthy fats from nuts
Free from artificial sweeteners and preservatives
Blood-sugar friendlier than conventional candy
They’re rich, satisfying, and you don’t need five to feel content.
Storage
Fridge: up to 1 week
Freezer: up to 1 month (honestly amazing straight from frozen)
Final Thoughts
You don’t need to give up chocolate to eat well.
You just need better ingredients.
These Snickers Bites are proof that real food can still feel fun, indulgent, and celebratory—especially on Valentine’s Day.
If you make them, tag me or reply to this post—I love seeing your versions 🤍
Happy Valentine’s Day 💘
